ILDA MASON is a born and raised Panamanian based in New York City. As an actress, dancer and singer, she is a Chita Rivera and ACCA Award winner for her performance as Outstanding Ensemble in the Grammy and Tony Award winning production “Buena Vista Social Club”, currently on Broadway.
Her journey ranges from flying as the title role of “Peter Pan”, starring in classics like “A Chorus Line” and “Hello, Dolly” and winning the second season of “Dancing with the Stars” in Panamá, to touring the U.S and internationally with “Cinderella”, “On Your Feet!” and “Legally Blonde”.
Ilda enjoys performing across media in film and television. Her most recent work include roles in “Law & Order: SVU”, “Kiss of the Spiderwoman”, “Saturday Night Live”, Netflix’s “Girl Haunts Boy”, “The Equalizer” and Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story”.
Ilda is proud to represent her home country wherever she goes, as well as bringing Latin stories to light while exploring what it means to be an Afro-Latina abroad. She’s constantly seeking ways to keep her mind, body, and soul healthy, striving to enjoy the ride as she grows and learns what it means to be an artist in this world.
